Jeans and a nice top

Hi all, i hope your all having a good week, have your got your Christmas jumpers all ready for Friday? I'm slowly getting into the Christmas spirit...all of my cards have been written, the presents have been bought and the wrapping is underway.

Today I wanted to share with you my all time favorite look. I don't know about you but as I get closer to turning 28, going out with the girls every weekend like you did in your late teens early twenties turns into staying in watch strictly with a takeaway, a hot bath and bed before 10pm. As a result of this my going out clothes have become a little neglected and don't get the wear they deserve, so I'm trying to incorporate them into everyday dressing and get as much wear out of them as possible.

It's so easy to disregard an item of clothing that's hanging in your wardrobe simply because it's purely for going out and too much for every day. I also think we have become a more relaxed society when it comes to dressing, jean and a nice top, to me seems to be the go to option when choosing any kind of outfit even for going out out!

Take this satin blouse for example, i bought it because i love the high neck detail and the way the oversizded sleeves drape over the arms. Realistically i wasnt going anywhere to wear it so instead of it just sitting in my wardrobe i decided to see how it would look dresses down and i think it looked ok!

Pairing it with my favorite blue mom jeans was the obvious option, ive become very casual with my dressing recently and love a good pair of denim, especailly this pair. I took a gamble styling it with this blazer but it works, the block champagne colour and material of the blouse compliments the checks of the blazer, the three textures work perfectly against each other. Finally in true Gemma style i chose to wear my beloved veja trainers, sunnies and the popular zara bead bag.
